Ok, so... had my car detailed from a buddy that works at subaru... well i guess he was using my stereo and the battery died on him, ok no big deal, he jumps it and my security light is now stuck on... even when i start the car and drive around... any clues? ive been searching all over and i dont seem to find a solution for this... not even in the service manual...

tried:
reseting ecu, triggering valet mode, locking and unlocking...

any other solutions would be great

 

Turn the key on and off (from full off to the "on" position) 5-8 times rapidly, (without actually starting the car). Sometimes this can help. Otherwise, might need to get someone with a scantool to see if there are any codes in the immobilizer that need attention or clearing.

 

nope this didnt help what does turning it on and off do?
