Question GS Sideview mirror controls

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the controls light up at night when the dash lights are on?? I just had my battery replaced today and noticed that the controls were in fact not lit up.

Are they supposed to be lit??? If so how can I change the bulb, assuming it's burnt out???

Thanks,
Blanco

The directional arrows light up on mine. Have no knowledge of the second question.

Default light replacement

Ok, now I'm pretty sure my light is out. The question now is how to replace it. It's a '98 GS400. I don't currently have a shop manual so can someone explain to me how the procedure goes??

Thanks in advance,
Blanco

You might have to replace the whole unit. I would call the dealer.
