Cool es300 tps on an sc400?

Hi guys, found a few (more then 1) websites selling tps sensors that fit a whole array of lexus's.. The websites say that it's the same part and sell it that way, whether for an sc300, 400, gs 400, es300 or whatever. The dealership has different part numbers for each car, as do that auto part stores. I know that some places just do that, even when it's the same exact part, it has different numbers. I went to a local junk yard and located a handful of es300's.. the tps sensors look identical, minus ofcourse the part number.. has the same plug and everything.

So with that said, has anyone tried to use an es300 tps on the v8? does it even make a difference how many cylinders your car has, does the tps even care? I mean really all it does it tell the computer where the throttle is, and though it affects how much fuel and air does it really have anything to do with that other then telling your cars computer where the throttle is ??? Hopefully I'm making sense, and sorry if I'm not. my local junk yard is selling tps sensors for 20 bucks, and that's waaaay cheaper then from an auto parts store or even online, but with that said I don't want to waist my money.. anyone with valid input please speak up!
