Help my 1992 SC400 automatic is stuck in park at the front door of a place of buiness. My wife was driving. The push down button on the gear shifter appears to have cracked and a piece of plastic slid up and out of it. The shifter will not move from park. HELP EMERGENCY.

 

I think there is an override in the shifter bezel. You have to pop the little plastic cover off to access it.

 

From Georgia I will go and try that. I should know in about 40 minutes.
