A/C compressor out on 2GS...
yeah. and im in texas. this last week is hot as hell. here's my thing....adding the evacuator doubles the price of labor. so whats the chance that its even necessary? my 1st quote was just a smidge less that replacing the central air in a house. im not really trying to go broke on this one. help!!!!
You mean evaporator core?
If so, you probably won't need to be replacing that unless it's leaking. If you are having the compressor replaced, most likely, you'll get quoted for the compressor itself, accumulator, orifice tube (not sure where it's at on the GS), A/C flush, evacuate/recharge, R-134/oil and labor. I figure it would be in the neighborhood of $800 - $1000 in the south depending on where you get you stuff done at.
