Unhappy Tire defect

I have a GS300 with 2000 miles and just had a flat due to a small pinhole in the side wall. Is this a defect in the tire? Can they be repaired...or is it covered under warranty? Help please

Sidewall defects absolutely cannot be repaired. As far as warranty, the tires are covered by seperate warranty, which you'll find in your Owner's Manual Supplement (the other big manual in the black leather portfolio).

Offhand, I'd say that it depends on whether something punctured the tire externally, as far as warranty coverage is concerned. I doubt that there is road hazard coverage (which is generally a gouge by the tire dealer, anyway).

Assuming its a new car (you say 2000 miles but you don't say if your car is new) your dealership might have a wheel tire replacement warranty. I know my dealership warranties the wheels/tires for the first 4000 miles against ANYTHING that might happen to them. I don't know if this is a common dealership practice or just something they do as an extra incentive. Never hurts to ask.

I think you can get them replaced at the dealership.

My dad's chrome rims starting bubbling and peeling after 16k miles and he got all 4 of them replaced for free. The cool thing was only 3 of them were bubbling/pealing .
