I happened to be browsing for a case of Pennszoil Platinum oil at Amazon the other day and I came across this deal. $3.99 for a case. I thought this must be a pricing error or maybe it's really $3.99 a quart which would still be a good deal. This 100% synthetic normally sells for > $6 a quart. I bought the last four cases they had and it arrived today. That's 24 quarts for $16. It came with free super-saver shipping too. I'm set for a year.

Not sure if this was a price error but I see that the best price for this oil is $6.49 a quart today. Thank you Amazon.

 

I bought a 5 quart jug for 20 bucks or something like that before...

 

There is now a $15 rebate directly from Pennzoil for the purchase of 5 quarts of Platinum Plus. Valid August 11th to Nov 30th.

The 5 quart jug usually sells for around $23 at WalMart.

There has also been a report that WalMart has an additional $15 gift card rebate on this purchase. Supposedly the rebate is attached to the Platinum Plus 5 qt jug sold at WalMart. Have not seen this in person but it was reported at BITOG forum as being valid until the end of this month.

If this is valid you wind up spending $23 for 5 quarts of Pennzoil Platinum Plus and get two $15 rebates back.

 

Yep. I get Castrol Fully Synthetic from walmart. A 5 quart jug is around $23. Been using Castrol FS like forever with no problems.

 

Pennzoil Platinum at Walmart goes for $20 but I know a Pennzoil Rep since I work there and I get it for 1/2 price plus 10% employee discount.

 

And what does this have to do with maintenance? Haha j/k. Nice find man!
