has anyone had any luck getting the brake dust TSIB and dash rattle TSIB that never got the notice, nor does it show up in lexus.com/owners website?

can't keep my wheels clean for more then a day before they are coated in brake dust again, and my dash board cracks and rattles wayyy too often.

i have the fuel rail recall that i need to perform, and i want to know my chances on getting these other things fixes that have obviously been addressed for the same year/model.

edit: btw i have an 07 is250 awd

 

you do know that by going to the other brake pads, your brake performance will decrease right???

Some Lexus vehicles are equipped with high-friction front brake pads, specifically
designed for superior braking performance and response. As a result, under certain
conditions, it is possible for the customer to experience a larger volume of brake dust on
the wheels.
For customers who find these characteristics objectionable, an alternative brake pad
material has been developed. As with any change made to brake pad material, braking
performance and feeling may be altered and could possibly be reduced under certain
driving conditions as a result of their usage.
These alternative front brake pads have now been made available as service parts.
S 2006 -- 2007 model year GS 430 and IS 250/350 vehicles.
S 2007 model year GS 350/450h vehicles.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in
effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s

Some customers may complain of rattle noises coming from the front of the instrument panel at the base of the windshield. The following procedure has been developed to improve this condition.

Introduction
If a creak, tick, or rattle noise is heard at the top or bottom of the windshield, the source of the
noise may be the two windshield stoppers bonded to the top of the windshield or the windshield
retainers bonded to the lower edge of the windshield. This bulletin provides the recommended repair
procedure to eliminate these types of noises from the windshield area.
NOTE
Some vehicles have both stoppers and retainers while others may only have stoppers at the
top of the windshield. Use the chart in this bulletin to determine the location of the windshield
holding devices.

yes i do. Thanks for all the recall notices, but I was trying to find out if i can still have the recall performed even tho they dont show up as being needed for my vehicle when i log onto the lexus owners website.

 

Thats why I posted them, they each detail what cars they are applicable to...

for the tick/rattle at the top or bottom of the windshield, it's all 03-08 IS's if the owner complains of the problem and it's a free fix if under the warranty time...

for the instrument panel rattle, it's all IS 250 AWD's with a vin number prior to JTHCK262085015977

for the brake pad replacement, it's 2006 - 2007 model year GS 430 and IS 250/350 vehicles

Got it? So, they are not recalls. There is nothing safety related about any of these, so they are not required. They are optional, and only apply if the owner requests that problem be looked at. Obviously unless you have a complaint, they are not going to fix something that might not even exist. Many cars don't have the rattle even though they never had the repair done, and many people are willing to live with a little brake dust to enjoy better stopping power.
