my Lexus dealer only does ATF drain & fill, no filter or gasket change...
I was chatting with the service manager at my Lexus dealer yesterday. I've
known the guy for almost 10 year. (probably not a good sign if you know the
service manager too well?
)
Anyway, I was telling him that I do my own ATF drain & fills.... He mentioned
that they do NOT ever drop the pan. All they do is open the drain plug and
refill with new ATF, during the 30/60/90k-mile services. Even if a customer
specifically requests that the ATF filter be changed, they do not do it, unless
the vehicled has been diagnosed with transmission problems.
Do other Lexus dealers do the same thing?
