2002 LS430 P0440 P0441 P0446 fix
Got lucky and was able to find and fix my check engine light problem pretty easily. The "fuel vapor feed" plastic part was broken. It is part #23818-46110 and costs around $12.00. It sit's to the inside of where you would add oil to the crank. There are two small hoses connected to it. It's shaped like a half moon. The end that the hose slips over had broken off into the hose. I was able to pull it out with a needle-nose pliers and crazy glue it back together until I can get over to Lexus to get a new one. If you get all of these codes it's probably because of a vaccum hose disconnected. Good Luck hope this helps someone.

EVAP errors
Yeah, same exact thing happened to mine like a couple weeks go. The plastic EVAP Purge valve broke in the same place. It must extremely cold weather I think. Part is abit hard to find, but SEWELL has it. Once i changed the part, i cleared teh CEL and haven't had it go off in a week. So its an easy inexpensive fix.

Grant it this is an old post, however I would like to share...my experience. Recently the check engine light came on in my sc430. Had the code cleared told if they came back take to my mechanic. Month later they came back. Took the car to Lexus. They read the codes and them did their diagnostics test. Came back a crack in my gas hose. Which would be the same as a loosen gas cap air still escapes etc. 400.00 later repaired. The car had been hit in that area in Dec 2012 and poor workmanship, the car crash itself who knows but either it could have caused the crack. Or with age.. either way that was the cause of my codes.
As far as the catalytic converter, I had the crackling sound back in 2011 after a road trip. Totally freaked me out. Never happened before so why now. Took it to Toyota due to it being closest they stated it was my water pump, thermostat, throttle body and whatever they could add to the list. Coolant was low. And on my throttle body. Cost 2800.00 Told me NOT to drive the car. I called my guy at Lexus he stated the car is fine no worries. The car only had just over 50,000 miles. NO way my throttle body.
So I kept an eye on it after no signs.... all appears to be doing well. Oil changes check ups etc. All well. Nov 2013 as precautionary measure I replaced my timing belt as maintenance and manual recommends it approaching the 90,000. not bad for 2002 .. Now recall the Toyota diagnosis? When they got ready to do my maintenance.. the only problem they found was a crack radiator lid.
One day while driving I heard what sound like a freight train.. My exhaust out of nowhere just dropped. Client repaired it 25.00 for welding it back .
Through the years of owning this car it has been a great car.. Only fault I have with it .. stereo is crap..
