Question Car Wash product...

I am in the process of buying a replacement wash mitt. Just wondering what everyone is using to wash their cars. Any comment will be appreciated on each. Would prefer actual usage experience.

1) Real Sheepskin Wash Mitt

2) Natural Sea Sponge

3) Cotton Chenille Wash Mitt

4) Microfiber Mitt

Get the real sheep skin mits - my practice was use one for the car abover the door line; use a seperate one for below it; use a horse hair or nylon brush and sponge for the wheels and undercarriage.

I use a cotton wash mitt and I use Turtle Wax, Zip wax car wash. Leaves car shining and clean after

I recommend 0000 steel wool, it does a better job than a brillo pad

Brillo already has soap. Saves a step.

I have always used sheepskin mitts and zip wax car wash for my cars. It has proven a good combination

Lightbulb Buncha Hicks!!

MT & Erfan - Man, U guys R showing the rest of the country that they're correct when they think those of us in the Deep South R a buncha hicks! I thought EVERYONE knew that a Scotchbright pad worked best!! Uncultured swine!
Seriously ( if I can be that way!! ), I use a genuine sheepskin mitt ( from Griot's ) as the deep nap seems to hold the dirt away long enough for me to rinse. I also agree with Dex about using a separate one for the bottom half of the car; in fact, I use separate buckets ( one with soap & the other for rinsing ). That way I don't contaminate the wash bucket with grime that I just removed.

I got a sheep skin at the Mercedes dealer and use only Mother's orther McQuires car wash since they are Ph balanced and do not harm the wax on the car.
