Default Unusual to get maint appt within a week?

Hello all

One-month Lexus newbie here. I got a IS250 AWD with wood and winter mats. I'm lovin my ride! I have a question. I have to bring my car in for some maintenance. Today is Friday, and they can't get me in until next Thursday. Is this unusual? Other than this, Lexus of Dayton is wonderful! (get a loaner car for life of vehicle)

The maintenance is a) A "tic" like noise in my right rear b) Brake dust (they are replacing pads, no hassle) and c) rearview mirror vibration when moonroof is open on freeway.

Is it common to have to wait for a week for maintenance?

Really depends on the dealership. To me that sounds like a good thing because that means that your dealership is getting a lot of business. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I dont think we've ever really turned people away for that amount of time... We get everything done, and we're always insanely busy... I suppose less than a week isnt too bad. It truely depends on what you're happy with though. If you wanted to get in sooner, im sure they would have accomodated you.

Where I work it can also take a fair amount of time to fit in an appointment. Keep in mind that they usually don't fully book the technicians so they can accomodate people that just show up without an appointment for maintenance work. It just goes to show how important it is to make an appointment ahead of time before you're due for work.
