Well, their marketing claims aside, it does seem to leave a repellent coat on the windshield. So never having to put rain-x on the windshield again is nice. So it's kinda like having good wipers + rain-x on your windshield at all times.

After trying different kinds of aftermarket blades, I went back to Toyota/Lexus OEM inserts. Expensive indeed, but cheaper and better in the long run. Wipe clean without streak or noise, and last easily over a year.

Aftermarket blades work for about 3-4 months, and not as well.

I've been using the PIAA Super Silicone for almost 3 years, and they are the Greatest I've ever used. they last way longer then 3-6 months, and ordinary wipers cannot compare.

I'm going on 3 yrs as well for my PIAAs. Yea, about the silicone stuff. I think it only last a few months. It was really awesome while it lasted though. In any case, I've had no problems w/ the blades.

I saw a few other threads on wiper blades and saw somebody credit blades from TripleEdge. I decided to get a blade for the driver side which was easy to install. I also waxed the windshield too.

I use the cheapest ones I can find - NO wiper blades seem to last through the summer here in Vegas, and everytime by the time it rains, they are stuck to the windshield from lack of use...

I'm happy with OE Toyota.

The selection of ones from Wal Mart I'd no sooner have them on to have them chatter, streak or not even clear the water...off they went. Haven't tried the higher line ones mention but this does have me curious.

i compared the piaa refill and the OEM refill closely...

the OEM refill is in between sizes for piaa... which means you'll have to buy teh longer piaa refill and trim it... 94070 is the part number to teh drivers side... you might also need a tiny clip to hold the the two metal inserts from sliding out... those come with every "G" series of wiper refill from toyota...

good luck...

it looks to be more work than it's worth... and there's nothing wrong with the OEM wiper refills... they fit perfectly, and wipe awesome...
