Need help on finding Lexus Brand Oxygen Sensor...

My engine light came on and I took my car to Lexus to see what was up. They said bank 2 sensor 1 has failed. The estimate to replace with labor is $327.00

Does thats sound right? I have talked with several people about using another brand and they said stick with Lexus. Some of the other brands are not working.

If anyone can shine some light on this issue I'd appreciate it.

If you go to a stealership, then yes. ~$227 for the part, 1 hour for the labor.

Go with Denso,
www.sparkplugs.com
www.oxygensensors.com

www.newlexusparts.com
www.lexus-parts.com

or just get it at a Toyota Dealership

Save the labor and put it in yourself, it is not that hard.

i used the denso brand universal sensors i found on ebay for about $24 each. they dont include the connector, but i reused the existing ones off my LS. follow the procedure as shown in the lexls.com tutorial. disconnect the sensor wires first, used a 17mm open wrench to remove them, crimped the old connector to the new sensor, apply some anti-sieze, reinstall new sensor, connect plug and you're set. just give your car some time to cool off before trying to remove the old sensors, less likely to burn yourself on the cat/exhaust manifold and the sensors will come out easier.

oops, didnt realize you had the GS300. i'm not too familiar with toyota's inline-6 (2jze?), but if there are say 2 pre-cat and 2 post-cat sensors, go ahead and replace the pair. by that i mean, change both cylinders 1-2-3 and 4-5-6 sensors.

my mechanic had replaced my driver's side pre-cat sensor years ago, to the tune of $120 for parts plus 1 labor hr @ $100. a few months ago, the CEL went off and i checked the code. bought a pair of denso universal sensors, needed to use a breaker bar and lots of pb blaster to remove the passenger side sensor since it was the factory original. plenty of cursing and worries about ruining the threads in the exhaust manifold, but $52 and 1 1/2 hrs spent well.

somebody with more knowledge on the 300 should chime in...
