I really don't think you can go wrong using either one. Both brands are designed with the utmost quality and are built to the exact specifications for our cars. In the past I've bought NGK because they were more readily available as well as a little cheaper, but I'd sway to the Denso side if I found them cheaper instead. Good luck.

I installed Denso iridium plugs in my ES two years ago when the mileage was close to 90K, and since then I haven't had any problems. The factory ones in my car were the NGK.

When I owned my 2003 4Runner, I changed the plugs after 30K and found a mixture of the two types in the motor. I called toyota and they said it was pretty normal....wtf??

Denso's have a slightly finer wire than the NGK's , 0.6 to 0.8 I believe , so the Denso's might burn slightly better but won't last as long , I think the factory reccomended mileage is less for the Denso's than the NGK's .
Personally I don't use anything but NGK's !!
