Am i getting ripped off?
I have a 1997 ES300 with about 102,500 miles on it and just recently had the engine light come on. The symptoms were the car would vibrate as if the whole car was shaking and not accelerate properly when going up a hill or when really pressing the pedal down. I took it to the toyota dealership and they said there was a missfiring clynoid and I need the spark plugs changed along with the ignition coil changed since I never have had them replaced. They said they need to order the parts so the car will be there over night. How much should it be to get the work done cause they quoted about $400 with tax and labor out the door which seems steep to me.

One of those ignition coils for my RX300 (I think we share almost similar 1MZFE engines with some minor differences) cost over $100 USD and not sure about the solenoid. However, at Lexus or Toyota in the U.S., I could see that running up to $400 with parts and labor.
