Installing brake rotors 1992 LS 400
I am planning to install new front rotors and pads on my LS 400. I got original Toyota parts. I looked at http://www.lexls.com/ and changing rotors seems to be pretty easy. Any tips that I need to watch out for.
I do have one question, do I need to spray the new rotors with Brake Cleaner to remove any oil that might be on it? How about the pads - does it also need to be cleaned??
Any tips on breaking in the new rotors and pads?
Thanks

Removing whatever oil is on it can't hurt, but what you'd really wanna do before you install it is paint the "hat" portion of the rotor. That way, it won't rust as quickly. If your wheels do not show off much of the hat area, maybe you can live without it, otherwise, this is a great opportunity- it will never be easier to do than now, before it is installed and starts to rust. Plenty of info on painting your brake area if you search.
