Default 90 LS brake pad clips.

I changed the brake pads on the 90LS and noticed that on the original pads there are two small clips on the brake pads. These are apart from the shim brackets.
Small clips attached to the inner pads on both sides.
I would like to know what the purpose of these clips are.
Are they brake pad wear indicators ? More over, when a new shim kit is purchased, are these clips part of the kit or are they sold seperately ?
thnx.

those clips are wear indicator.

if ur doing the brake job ur self take them off the old pads and put them on the new1. u dont need a shim kit unless the 1 on there is torn up or rusted though. and yes they are sold separatly if u get it from the dealer
