Strut Tower Bar Install Question
Going to give a solid strut bar a try on a 94 LS and have a couple of questions.
The goal here is increased structural rigidity. This is accomplished by outward pressure on the strut towers. Obviously the vehicle has to be on the ground to put the mounting brackets on the two towers or the whole assembly would fall.
My question is how do I gauge how much pressure to I want to exert against the two towers & how do I measure that?
Once the brackets are mounted & torqued on the towers, should the vehicle be jacked up to allow for more suspension movement to adjust strut bar width?
I know that I need to carefully torque the oem strut mount bolts. What torque setting should I use?
Thanks, damon
