How does it work? Does it slide over the stock wrench... I'm going staggard so will how will this benefit me sya when taking the rims off with the thin walled socket?

Also, Is 21mm the size i need to put the wheels on? I'm about to but this stuff in the next few days... As far as torque wrenches goes I guess I'll try advanced auto and sears.... Any other suggestions....

BtW........ thanks e-man

e-man, I'll bet the pipe insulation will provide good padding for your hands too.

Yes, it slides over the stock wrench and provides extra leverage (because it makes the wrench longer) when loosening/tightening lug nuts. I'm going to sound really stupid here, but I've never known what "staggered" means (I always assumed it meant that you had different sized tires in the back from the front).

Good point. I hadn't considered that. The guy at Home Depot told me that he was sure that I was buying the pipe to club someone over the head until I covered it with foam pipe insulation, at which point he realized that I must have had something else in mind.

You are correct e-man about the staggard wheel set-up....different sizes front to rear..... Well i just want to make sure that i don't damaged my new wheels..... So.... torque wrench and 21mm thin walled socket and extension tube is all i need uh? Sounds good....

Thanks again

For the record, it's "staggered".

Glad you like it. I will take the credit for passing it along but I got the idea from BananaGS. This was one of the things I saw when I was starting to mod the GS. His site is very helpful with more than just "modding the car" tips.

Depending on the design of your wheels, a staggered setup will require an extension to reach the lugs in the rear and once your lugs are properly torqued at 75 ft/lbs you should not need a breaker bar to loosen the lugs, oh and Pep Boys is a good place to pick up a torque wrench.

I use four different torque wrenches, depending on the task... Two in inch pounds and two in foot pounds. They are very accurate when stored unloaded and set prior to usage. A 1/4 inch drive Utica Torque Limiting screwdriver (TS30) ,1-30in lbs. 3/8 inch drive Snap-on Torqmeter (TE12A),1-150in lbs. 3/8 inch drive ratchet swivel-head Snap-on Click Torque wrench (QJFR275D), 5-75ft lbs. 1/2 inch drive ratchet Utica Click Torque wrench (TCI-150FRD), 30-150ft lbs I am very pleased with all these units, all made in USA..

Here's mine. Snap-on part# tech3fr250.
Digital read-out (lb, kg and nm) and vibrates when you get to the specified torque because i can't hear squat in a noisy place. 15 degree flex head ratchet makes it easier to turn the thing without gouging out a fender.
I also have a 19mm/21mm flip socket (19 on one end, 21 on the other) in my hand to do most Japanese cars.

What do you guys think of the "torque sticks" that most tire shops use with their impact socket wrenches? Good enough, or should I be demanding hand-torqued despite their protests?
