help: hid self-leveling warning light ON

I've had the "hid self-leveling warning light" on my dash for the longest time and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Could it be the HID self-leveling motor that needs to be replaced? My driver side HID seems to be off and manually leveling it doesn't help. Someone please let me know.
