The tree crap you hang on your rearview mirror is a POS ! I also tried that "gel-like" substance in a tube where you put under your seat and it SUCKS also !

You guys use areasol cans or you buy freshners where you stick it somewhere on your car?

No air freshner for me. I and everyone else thats been in my car love the smell of leather and my car still has the new car smell over these many years. So no need for air freshner for me.

aw, now, garnet.......things are a lot better since i dumped a box of baking soda in my adult diapers. now I feel clean and fresh as a day in spring

I'm using a leather scent from Griott's garage. It's the stuff you spray on a little sponge and put under the seat. The smell is exactly consistent with their leather conditioner that I am using.

I like the smell. Is it exactly like leather?...I don't think so, but close enough for me to continue using it.
