Default odor and question

hey there, i have two questions. i got an old lex with 200K on it. but runs great.. alright here's the questions:

1. i smell a chemical like odor. in the exhaust does it mean my engine is burning oil , i check my dip stick and it's seem to be full. the syntek oil been there for almost 4K. . if it's burning oil , what can i do to fix it or take care of it??

2. what is this fuel injection i see in my local oil change place? they have pictures of it showing difference between two sprays of gas or some kind..

as always am greatful for everyone's help.

A burning oil smell is distinct. However I have never smelled burning synthetic oil. Is it giving off white smoke? If it is then that may possibly be the problem. As far as the fuel injectors. You have to keep those clean by adding a solution of fuel injector cleaner to your gas. ever so often. I do mine like once a month.

Put some Chevron Techron Fuel Injector Cleaner the next time you fill it up. It says to add it to 12 gallons when refueling.

OK, if you dont use Chevron Techron, something is better than nothing. I mention this because there might be 40 other recommendations on what type of fuel injector cleaner to use.

Anyway, its a DIY thing. No need to pay someone to do it for you.
I got my bottles at Walmart for around $6.
