Test a starter
Can I test a starter by touching the connectors with a jumper cable attached to the battery? I changed the contacts and would like to test the starter before I install.

yes, negative to metal body of starter and touch the positive to the remote terminal on starter. not sure what to do? take it to autozone and they can test it for free.
