what you mean by major tune up

placebo effect, Zmax is basically dyed mineral oil with a dash of chlorinated parrafin in it
Yeah, Zmax is a waste of cash dude! By major tune up, I mean change the spark plugs, spark plug wires (if equipped) air filter fuel filter, PCV valve, timing belt, and the like. Check your owners manual for the correct part numbers & get them changed if you haven't already.....you should notice a huge improvement in your fuel economy & if not, there might be something more serious being the problem.
that aint nothing, im getting 118 per tank on my ES250...needs an intake manifold cleaning probably...either that or itjust needs DRIVEN. they guy i bough it from drove it 2 miles a day, made a total of like 6 turns, to get to work everyday and to get home...that aint right.! i drove the car almost 100 miles today and i can already feel the difference.

go to a GM dealer and get a can of GM Top Engine Cleaner. Suck the can through a vacuum port slowly, and then all at once until the engine dies. Then wait a 1/2 hour. Start up the engine, don't be alarmed if it smokes like a ****.

according to GM you're supposed to let it sit over night... and be sure to change your oil immediately afterwards if you use top engine cleaner.

It's possible it could be a relay.....you mention you have changed the plugs a year ago.....what about all the other parts I mentioned earlier? If your fuel filter or air filter as an example are extremely dirty or even partially blocked.....it's costing you quite a bit in the fuel economy department......I mentioned all those parts as they ALL have an effect on the overall efficiency of your car. Spark plugs alone can't do it all.
