Shaking Steering Wheel

Unhappy Shaking Steering Wheel

99 GS 400 steering wheel shakes when i apply brakes between 60-40 miles. tires are balanced. do i need to maybe redo brakes? maybe a disc grinding?

You need to resurface the rotors or may be new brake pads. Start with the front brakes first and test drive it.

You can confirm your brakes suspicion by taking your car into Midas, Monro or any auto shop that offers free brake inspection. Just tell them you want your brakes inspected (front or rear, but as VVT-i mentioned, most likely the front), and that you want to know if your rotors are warped or not. They'll give you a diagnosis and recommendation for the repair of your brakes. Hope that works out
