'01 GS300 brake light replacement
Hey everyone,
My far right brake light on my 2001 GS300 went out over the weekend. I've been searching the archives and have seen a few posts describing how to do it on LSs and SCs. Could someone shed some light on how to do it on my GS, and what bulb I'll need to get?

I don't know the part# or bulb #,but it is easy to do on the GS.
Open the trunk, you will see 2 small plastic cap on the tail light. Use a small flat head screw driver to pop the plastic caps out and you will see 10 mm bolts, remove those bolts.
Inside the trunk you will see 2 more black plastic caps. Remove those caps and remove 2 10mm nuts and carefully remove the tail light assembly.

You guys rock! Thanks for the information. I'll have to swing by my local toyota or lexus dealer and grab that part.
Seems like a pretty painless fix. Much better than coughing up the $$ to have a dealership fix during my next major service.

Really? I figured that would have fallen under "wear and tear"... if that's the case, then maybe I'll wait for my next appt.
I'm at around 36000 miles (work is only 3 miles from where I live), had car since Feb '01, so I definitely am in my warranty period. Nice.
