I know Toyota/Lexus does not use metallic or semi-metallic pads because they are too prone to squeaking and squeeling and wear down the brake rotor too fast.

Question

Does anyone know about the GX 470? I have noticed there is very little, if any brake dust on the wheels when I clean them.

I was told, not sure though, most new vehicles use ceramic disk brakes because they are quiet. I don't know about ceramic brakes' efficiency. GX470 probably also uses ceramic disc brakes and produces less dust but not none. It is better that you don't inhale.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking as well, the next time I am at my dealer I will ask them and if I get a definite answer I will post here.
