I was wondering if the same gaskets are used for oil plug, diff drain plugs, etc.

On my GS400, the gaskets for the oil drain plug is different than the ones for the rear diff (drain and fill) plugs.

The oil drain plug gasket is a hard rubber piece (it's reuseable), while the rear diff gaskets are a bit larger and are of the crush variety (non-reuseable)--at least on my GS400. The all cost about $2/each. If you're changing your rear diff fluid, I'd highly consider getttnig new crush gaskets so it doesn't leak.

 

My car uses the non-reusable crush gaskets. Would that be the same as the diff gaskets?

rear differential gasket = crush ring gasket (non-reusable)

oil plug gasket = rubber ring gasket (reusable)

I'm not 100% sure, but if I were you, I'd just check w/ your Lexus parts dept. to be sure. If they have the reuseable rubber gasket for your oil drain plug, I'd use that instead on the crush gasket (it'll be cheaper in the long run).

 

For some time now, I have been using nylon gaskets for the oil pan. This came about because of an incident in the past when I stripped the threads in my Acura Legend's oil pan when tightening the plug while using an aluminum crush gasket. I reuse the gaskets. They seem to last forever.

I have never had a leak while using the nylon gaskets. It is firm enough to seal properly but not so hard that you are likely to strip threads.

They are readily available at Pep Boys, Auto Zone, etc.
