Default Changing wheels/tires affecting safety systems?

Hey all,

Thinking about getting my first Lexus. Dealer has a 2023 LX F Sport in the exact color that I want. There are a few things I wish were different, but my main complaint is the wheels/tires. They come with the 22" dark grey wheels. I think its logical to think about putting on a smaller wheel with a more capable tire. I run Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S on my 4unner and love them.

When I asked them if this would cause any issues with the tech part, like adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist, etc, they were unsure. They just kept saying they would recommend switching, and they weren't sure if it would require recalibrating any sensors, etc.

This sounds like a weak answer to me. Anyone here have any knowledge? I assume most of those sensors must adapt and work at different heights since it has the variable suspension system...

Thanks

As long as you match up the overall wheel size, it should be okay.

You can get 18 and 20 inch wheels as well on different models of the lx600.

You probably want the 18 with 285/65/18 SL Falken A/T3W. Same height as your stocks.

I've had 3 Lexus' with non OEM wheels and tires. Never had an issue. Just keep the tire diameter within 3% of OEM diameter.
