I purchase my 2013 on 2/2012, I had an extra year of fun. My 2013 warranty was up, right headlight blew (transformer), I needed 4 new tires, few dings on the body and felt a big repair was coming up that made me to called a few dealers to see what kind of deal that I can get. $18.5k off MSRP plus they were going take my car for $36k. I went to test drive the truck and it felt so much more smoother, quieter and the handling was better. The steering wheel was much more rigid than the 2013. Plus the acceleration in normal mode was much much better.

Plus you made one of the guys on i8mud really happy if they got the opportunity to buy your used one enjoy your new rig man 💪

Since a few people have asked where I bought/shopped, here it is:

1 - NorCal dealers. Not much inventory. And to be frank the sales person we dealt with at the Lexus dealer closest to our home was not very bright...took her 5 days to call back after a test drive. At another dealer a little further away the sales rep didn’t even call back despite a message and an email from me. In my business I’d fire you on the spot for that.

2 - looked nationally: there is a dealer in Englewood, NJ with very aggressive online pricing and good size inventory of two-row trucks. But we didn’t want a two-row because the boss lady must have her cool box.

3 - Longo Lexus in LA is supposedly the largest Lexus dealer in the US. However they had zero inventory and already show 2019’s inbound. My guess is they blew out the 2018’s early with aggressive prices/leases. Just a guess.

4 - We bought from Fresno Lexus which is about 3 hours north of LA in the middle of nowhere. They were aggressive out of the gate. Contact Irene Flores who is the “Internet Sales Manager”. Very nice lady. Made a good (not insulting) first offer and then immediately let me know as low as they can go when I countered. I feel like I could have spent some time and squeezed a few hundred dollars more out of them, but not worth my time and I’m in sales too...people do need to earn a living. In Fresno their overhead is probably 25% lower than LA so there’s that. Anyway feel free to contact Irene and tell her Ravi referred you if you like.

5 - Adam Akil is the Internet Sales Dude at Newport Beach Lexus. He’s a no nonsense straight shooter that put up a solid number right out of the gates. After a little negotiation we would have bought the truck from Adam, but someone else got it first. He was very open during the process letting me know that two other parties were looking at the same truck. He also offered to find one at another dealer. I would highly recommend Adam. He was very attentive without being pushy.

6 - Lastly the Internet Sales Dude at a Lexus Dealer in Atlanta, GA was very direct offering $16K off MSRP right off the bat. So if you’re in the Southeast you can try there.

Overall regarding pricing for three-row trucks you should be getting $16K of MSRP thru 10/1/18 when the $7K incentive expires. This is without a whole lot of negotiation and of course without a trade in. I assume the incentives will get better after 10/1, but inventory will get thinner. The boss lady had to have a specific color and options so I had to pull the trigger on the truck we bought at Lexus of Fresno.

Hope you all who are shopping find this somewhat useful. Please pardon the typos.

Good luck with your shopping! -Z

Hey Z

I am in sales too but I wasn’t that nice to them. Spending on a 99k suv I needed them to sharpen their numbers. Not much 2018 inventory left, I would not wait after 10/1.

Yipster, I think there are probably ~500 2018 LX’s left out there. That’s my guess based on looking at the inventory at about 50 Lexus dealers (mostly in CA and TX). -Z

I’m in TX and the best I’ve gotten is $83,600 for 3 row with luxury package. One of the dealers said the only way they could get lower is to see a buyers order reflecting less and they could match Anyone willing to share?
