Protective shield that protects alt
Hello, it's my first post, but let me start by saying thank you for all of the other posts that have helped my out. How to change your spark plugs, transmission fluid, differential, and everything else that was easily searchable. I found I had no idea what these things were called, hence the post. They are the cardboard looking or maybe they were something else before, but they protect your alt on the pax side, that one is completely missing and on the driver side it is so brittle it's only a matter of time before it goes in the front wheel wells. What are they called and where can you purchase them along with the round black plastic clips that hold them in place. Thanks in advance.

Not able to visualize the alternator protector thing without a pic, but I can say that eBay is the place to go for clips, which you'll need sooner or later. Dealer is going to want $1 or so per clip, eBay has them in volume for much less. Just search on eBay for something like "2013 Lexus LX570 clips" or similar. Land Cruiser clips are normally identical to LX clips.
OT, very helpful to add a signature indicating model year at the least.

Passenger side, I cut the top off an old rubber boot for now. The alt is towards the bottom just on the other side of rubber boot. With all the rain we are getting I don't want to fry the alt.

After a little ebay searching I found them. They are called "Aprons" https://www.ebay.com/itm/Apron-4Runn...UAAOSwepla3UxQ
