New to me...
I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a 2011 lx570. I have been looking at Land Cruisers and Lxs for a long time and finally settled on the 200 series rather than a 100 series. I love it. The plan is to turn this into an off-road machine over time. Glad I found this forum
to help me with all the questions I know I will have!

Nice!
In Australia, the 200 Series with the gasoline engine is only a 4.6 litre V8. So if you wanted the mighty 5.7 litre V8 gas motor, the Lexus is it.
However in Australia, 95% or more choose the diesel 200 Series - it's a twin turbo 4.5 litre V8 engine, albeit with a 6-speed auto gearbox only, not the 8-speed auto as found in the newer LX570.
I do like the LX570 but at AUD$1.30 for a litre of unleaded Down Under (USD$3.68 per gallon), the operating costs makes it very hard to justify as a daily driver. Nice ride though! Enjoy!!

Congrats Dugaroo! I just picked my 2011 LX570 4 months ago myself! Very similar story, Mercury silver, Texas vehicle (Dallas), 100k mi, all dealer serviced, no accidents, super clean inside and out, single owner. Mine came with a bunch of off road bits already installed (see pics). Let me know if I can field any questions for you!
