LX570 a little dissappointing

It is about 570. And I am personally NOT disappointed with the quality of the 570 interior, I would expect it to hold up just as good as the 470. And I don't think that the materials or the way those age on the LX are any worse than that of the G or other Mercedeses I had experience with so far.

Let's just say that your interior is the exception rather than the rule based on what i have seen. Good that your interior is holding up. I can tell you that my G leather (possibly better than your SL??) is holding up a lot better than my brother's LX. Remember, my G is not made in the same place as your SL...and is made by a much different method.

All I do to the leather is cleaning and conditioning once a year. And I think it helps, though I have read quite a few times that leather on the Lexus vehicles is 'sealed' and does not require it. I don't know for sure. But cleaning at least sure helps.

You can see the crease on the rear seats.
2003 LX470 63k miles:
Need i say more??
1999 LX470 88k miles:
2006 LX470 50k miles:
Well, you guys get the picture....

This 50k 2006 does look really bad. I don't know what is with it, humidity level or temperatures, or something else. Just take my word for it that the 98 at 170 looked MUCH better, closer to a 'new look'. Granted in my case there is no kids to 'take care of it'.

Why do you have so many pics of LX seat creases??!?!??
Just razzing ya, but still curious
I still have no clue about how to post pics, once I figure it out I'll put the snow pics of the 570 on. I'm very "computer challenged"

BTW, I "think" that sun plays a large role in how leather holds up. I recall seeing a lot of damage on say Californian cars etc. In a place like BC, where you don't get sun practically at all and temperatures are almost the same year-around... and you park the vehicle in the garage you get very little creasing/damage. Unless it is something mechanical. UV exposure and wide temperature contrast when you cool it with aircon after half a day summer time Arizona.

I agree, here in Fla leather seats will crease pretty much as soon as the vehicle comes off the truck Treating the leather, tinting the windows, using a sunshade, and parking in a garage will only delay the inevitable down here

Welcome to BC then: vehicle don't rust as there is very little salt on the roads if at all. You yourself just slowly deteriorate without the blue sky, sun, real winter or real summer. Make your choice
