Default 2013 LX seat heater/ventilation **** disintegrated?!?

Hello all, first, love my LX —- I am original owner and she’s got 88k on her.

so I pushed in the little **** to have it pop out so I could activate my seat venting (driver side). And the little button/**** just broke into pieces.

Anyone else experienced this? Vehicle has always been garage kept but brutal Florida heat in summer time. The internal spindle is now just sticking out and I was able to turn it to the middle/off position.

anyone else had this happen before? Is it possible to just buy the little **** and pop it on OR am I going to have to order the whole replacement switch, disassemble to replace, etc.?? I am admittedly not real handy.

concerned that I will have to take it to the dealer to have the full switch replaced. If so, anyone had to have this done and what a fair price to have to pay for parts and labor at dealer might be?

appreciate any input this crew may have to offer up for me here. Peace! Mike

I believe that you will need to buy the whole switch, for just south of $200. Here is a parts link. Dealer will likely charge whatever unit of time the service book says. In your situation I would look for a used switch on ebay (they seem to go for around $70) and either use it, or try to swap out the ****. The switch replacement looks like a simple pry out the old, plug in the new procedure to me.

I recall when I was still young, there were lots of japanese electronics that used this type of ***** / buttons.... maybe try pick and pull / junk yard?
