Just wondered if anyone else has this problem. The DVD entertainment unit in my 2009 LX570 will only play certain DVDs. Some it will take in and then the icon just blinks; it never reads the disc. Only common theme appears to be that the only DVDs it reads are older ones (i.e. older than the car itself). Any ideas would be appreciated!

If you are trying to play BluRay I'm pretty sure they won't work in your LX570.
There is a Club Lexus Audio/Video forum where you should re-post this question. It is well used and populated by folks from all the model forums who have a lot more electronics knowledge than me.
One thought though. Remember that many DVDs and DVD players are region specific. I have a collection of horse-related DVDs from England that will not play on USA region specific DVD machines. I had to buy a hacked all-region DVD player from ebay to be able to watch them at home. But the .Lexus player in my 2007 LX booted them up just fine. But that Lexus would not play some DVDs I bought on ebay that were pirated copies made in Hong Kong or Korea. It has been several years since I last watched a DVD so I don't know whether my current Lexus DVD player is an all-region machine, or is limited to certain region coded disks.
This sort of question is where you need the expertise of the video-heads on the Audio/Video forum.
