Default Wider tire size?

Anyone used a little wider tire as a replacement? I need to replace my tires this year and was thinking of adding a little wider tire by Michelin 305/50R20. What do you guys think?

Is your plan to replace the 285 Michelin Latitudes with 305 Michelin Defenders?

Not really my plan just wandering/ thinking how car will look and react to change like this. If all is good why not to change to wider size.

Is there a definitive recommendation for wider tyres?

Here Mud 200 series tire and wheel database

Various sizes will fit, but you didn't include your model year. If recent and you want to use your 21" wheels, you are definitely limited in brand as well as size...21" is a bastard wheel size.

Drop to 20's and you'll have some possibilities.

Good luck.

I've just fitted 305/65/18, almost 34, with a +18 offset MT rim. Some front fender plastic relocated.. almost no rubbing at all. Only some adjustments left, but they fit.
