LX570 Startup Growl

I'm sure most of you have noticed the V8 growl every time you fire up your LX570. This growl then goes away after a few seconds. I am just wondering what causes it and why after a few minutes it goes away? I have an LS460 (V8) as well, and that does not make such sound at the startup. I've noticed that this kind of sound only comes from SUV's.
Any idea(s)?

It's by design, the sound that you are referring to is from cooling fan. Same on GX, and other Toyota SUV and Trucks with V8 configuration. Although LS uses essentially the same V8 engine as used on GX, but with direct injection, and slightly different configuration.
