18" LC wheels definitely work much better than 21" or 20" tires. And they also look better in my opinion. If I see LX with 18", I know that its owner purchased it for what it was designed, not as a mall crawler.
LS 460 rides also much better with 18" wheels (I have winter tires on 18" on my LS 460). But I can understand that some people have 19" wheels on it. Anything bigger does not make any sense.
Oh for sure 18" wheels are more for what the vehicle is capable of. Just the LC wheels are ugly.
When going from 21" wheels to 20", I didn't have the guts to jump on these "aftermarket OEM" wheels. The sellers say they are of the same quality as Lexus wheels and speak convincingly of the reliability and safety (of course they do - lol) I just couldn't bring myself to try them out. Would be a great solution for someone who likes the look of the 21" wheels but wants options in 20" range.
And for the record, as much as I agree that smaller wheels are better for the intended purpose of the vehicle, I really cannot deny how fantastic 22" Vossen wheels look on the LX570 IMHO.
Those Method wheels look good. What size tires does everyone run on 20's?
What size tires did you run on those 24s? Any rubbing or did you have to trim anything? How was ride comfort on that series of tire in comparison to stock?
I am going to do the 20 inch OEM's with probably a on road truck tire, possibly the K02's, I can't see spending the money for the 21's when they cost the same as a 20 inch OEM Lexus Rim.
