I'd observe that those shopping for a new 200 series truck fully realize they'll drop the better part of $100K. I'd think it more attractive per se with a lower price, and most realize they'll spend a ton of money and definitely not see the percentage discounts you see on a Corolla or 4Runner. Those with less money simply go for the Prado / GX option.
The LC in its cheapest variant costs less than $50k in my home country, the top variant costs $80k. Many would jump at the chance of getting a $50k LC as it is still nearly as capable and reliable as the $80k one. But the US is not a major market for the LC/LX and thats the main reason more variants aren’t available. Maybe after seeing the success of the Nissan Patrol/Armada they might reconsider.
