Those with less money simply go for the Prado / GX option.
The LC in its cheapest variant costs less than $50k in my home country, the top variant costs $80k. Many would jump at the chance of getting a $50k LC as it is still nearly as capable and reliable as the $80k one. But the US is not a major market for the LC/LX and thats the main reason more variants aren’t available. Maybe after seeing the success of the Nissan Patrol/Armada they might reconsider.

Lexus currently has a $3,000 rebate on the 2-Row LX (expires 1 Apr '18). I was about to purchase the LC, but picked up a 2-Row LX for less money! $77k + TT&T.
