Default A/C Fan won't turn off

Hello,

So my 09' LX570 is having an issue and not letting me turn of the climate fan in the front. I've tried everything I can think of and I don't have the small cooler in mine so I'm not sure what the problem is. If I am in the climate screen and I press the A/C button it will illuminate that I touched it, but it won't turn off. Then if I try pressing the fan off button I doesn't do anything either. I have warranty on it, but if I can fix this myself I'd rather do that , because it's just less hassle.

Any my info on this matter is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU !!!!!

The fan off button should shut down all climate control. If yours is not, I do not think it is going to be something you can fix. Might be time to see the dealer.

You need to switch-off the refrigerator (cool box), then the A/C will turn off, otherwise it'll stay at the lowest speed.

Default A tip for LX and LS owners

Lexus models equipped with a "cool box" a cooler in the center console. Will need to have the cooler shut off or the a/c will always run. Even new advanced models will override the drivers control of the climate control unit becasue it uses the vehicle AC system to keep the box cold. If your a/c keeps running, check to insure the cool box is off.

According to Lexus, the 2009 LX570 was produced in more than one configuration. Unlike the models in previous years, the 2009 could be bought in a "base model" configuration, and also with other additional options in "luxury" packages. In the original post's second sentence, the poster states that he has an LX model WITHOUT a center console cooler. You can't turn off something that your LX doesn't have.

Now, it's possible that even in the 2009 basic configuration model the wiring ifor the cooling box is still there, even though the box itself is not, and these control switch wires may be the culprit.
