Default 2018 QX80 what do u guys think?

My wife just passed driver license test and she wants my GL550. So Im left with my LX, which isn't a problem, but I got used to it's tech which my LX locks. Current LX basically same old car with upgrades and there is nothing about new LX coming from Lexus. Just today I saw 2018 QX80 which looks awesom, thinking getting this car. Anyone has an experience with Infinity? Reliable, how they drive etc. Basically is it worth buying it?
Thx!

Styling is a huge improvement over the previous gen.

In my opinion Infiniti builds good vehicles, but I prefer the Land Cruiser platform. My vehicle has only lost 3-4 thousand dollars of value after one year, the resale value on these is incredible.

We will see what will change for 2018 model. I compared '16 QX80 with '16 LX570 side by side and the difference in ride quality between these 2 SUVs is really big (both highway and unpaved roads). The ride quality of LX570 was really worth the price difference.

Test drove the QX on two occasions and it left little doubt the LX was the way to go.

I did own a Q56S for about a year, it was fast but required several trips to the service department. Can not remember ever have a problem with any of my Lexus that required a visit to service except it regular service visits.

Good to know that ride quality is a big difference. Looks like I may be stuck with my '16 LX for the time being. As so far I don't see any other alternative.
