Default Front license plate holder?

I noticed recently my 09 LX 570 does not have a front license plate bracket, which is odd, considering it's a not a sports car like my 911 where esthetics is a premium.

My state requires all vehicles to have a front license plate. Figured I better get one since this is my DD and I go to the city often. Can anyone recommend a simple and cheap DIY solution? There's a seller on ebay selling a front license bracket/screw kit for ~$10. I'm guess I have to drill some holes in the front bumper?

You can just drill two holes in the plastic bumper and screw the plate directly into it without having to buy any holder or bracket. As far as I know from all 6 Lexi I've owned, the official Lexus bracket also requires that similar holes be drilled. There are several new Lexus brand holders for your model year for sale on ebay right now, priced around $50. Aftermarket holders also require drilling of a couple of holes, and are in the $10 range. If your state front plate just has an annual sticker to replace, rather than a whole new plate each year, drilling and putting the plate directly on the bumper is by far the least expensive option.

If front license plate is mandatory in your state, dealer must provide (and install upon request) front license plate at no charge. At least that's how it works in California.

Check the driver side storage in the flip down section of the tailgate. Mine was there nicely packaged from the factory. Have heard of a few others finding it in the same spot if it was not installed originally. I could not bring myself to put two holes in a perfectly good bumper cover so I attached the holder to the lower grille.

Docboy: I have one. I can send it to you if you don't find it hidden in your car as described above.
