The gas tank only takes ~18 gallons if you fill up when the low-gas light comes on.
However, the actual tank has 24gal capacity.
Yes, it is a 24.6 tank; when the light on and range become 0, I refueled with 20 gallons; I believe the reserve setting on the LX is 4 gallons, maybe because it is thirstier than other cars

Usually when a low fuel lights up and range become 0, the car will have around 50 miles of reserve range left

You just spent pretty close to 90K or more if you bought new. If used much less.

If you just laid out all that cash and did not bat an eye lash, WTF are you worried about MPG?

I'm guessing you have a pretty healthy payment correct? Now you are worried about MPG? Ugh. Did you not read that big @$$ sticker on the glass indicating the average fuel economy and you're now counting pennies?

If you are worried about MPG you bought the wrong vehicle, period! You should have bought a Hybrid.

I bought mine as a CPO. I use it to tow my jet skis. If I can afford the LX570 and the 3 skis' and the vacation then the last thing I need to worry about is fretting about the MPG.

I have 16 LC and run it on 87 octane and getting 10.5MPG. I am not as easy on it as just switched from 435 BMW and which was all having fun and power. So have a little left foot tendency.

Default Decent fuel economy

2015 LX-570; Just drove Phoenix to San Diego & back (820 miles total). I kept the speed at 70mph both ways.
Total miles / gallons used = 18.6mpg.
Better than I anticipated - but this was highway driving, AC on. By the way, this includes a 4000 ft climb thru the mountains just east of San Diego (AC off while in the mountains).

The fact that the car is rated for 13/18mpg, that's pretty solid!

LOL, true.

We just fill her up whenever needed. I agree if one is that worried about mpg with the LX570, then one will need to reconsider perhaps trading the LX570 in for something more fuel efficient. Yes, the LX570 is very thirsty indeed.

As one commercial says, "Stay thirsty my friends.". 😁😀😃😄😆

Around 15 and my 450h more than doubles that.

I am am also finding the RX more fun to drive.

The ML radio in the RX is not near as good as the LX.

I am never really care about the MPG, i just fill up the tank whenever the low gas light is on, and every i driving this beast with my wife and my 4 years old girl I spent half of the gas tank just for one day weekend which is cost me around $35 for that pleasure time with the family, so who care for the MPG if you can spend close to 100k on the truck right?

18 mpg highway at steady 75 mph or 80 mph in parts of Idaho...cruises nicely at just a bit over 2000 rpm. I never checked around-town mileage...least of my concerns. I see the same highway mpg with either 91 octane no ethanol premium gas, or normal regular.

My Daily Driver is a 2013 RX 450H. Yep it gets around 30 while my 2017 LX gets about 15. My wife drives a 2016 CT200h F sport and constantly averages right at 50 mph. But we only drive the LX on weekends and Trips. And It is well worth it!
