Default LX 570 vs RR supercharged

This might be a stupid question for a Lexus forum, but did anyone shop a Range Rover (supercharged)? Or did you own one?

I'm driving a 2010 Land Cruiser right now and I do love it, but am looking for some extra goodies found in either the LX 570 or the RR. I like the styling of the new 2013 LX 570 a lot (I almost bought a 2010, but went for the LC instead.)

Has anyone seen or driven the 2013? Are they hitting dealerships yet? My closest dealer tells me that they won't see one for a month or two.

Has anyone special ordered an LX 570? How long did it take? Did you get fairly good pricing on it vs. buying off the lot?

Lots of questions!

Thanks!

Go drive a 2011 (or even an earlier one). They should not be that much different than the 2013 model, other than a few feature changes and cosmetic changes.

Personally I think the LX has a lot more to offer me than a RR. Hard to beat the Toyota reliability.

I have a friend who has a Range Rover and his advice to me was that the most important thing about buying a Range Rover is the quality, experience and friendliness of the Dealer. According to him the staff at a Range Rover dealership go through extensive program of customer interaction training. This he tells me is critical because once you buy a Range Rover, you will be spending a ton of time with the service people so its important that you like them.

Chicky, I think you ask a good question. I thought posting a similar question myself, but for a certified pre-owned RR or RR Sport vs. 2008-2013 LX.

Have you been able to go out and test drive the RR Sport since you made your original post? I'm interested to hear your thoughts about it.

I never actually drove the rr but I love the looks and options. I couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on a vehicle with such low reliability ratings however. I bought an Infiniti QX56.
