I forget about the sixth gear as it does not use it unless you are heading down the highway. I do like the shifter where I can bump the gear up or down without looking for the shift lever gate.

I went on one of my "rougher" jobsites today. Used the lower gear in the transfer case and nothing would stop this thing. I tried the crawl control and it like a 2 mph 4WD Cruise control. Even going up or down the steepest terrain the 2 mph did not vary what-so-ever! Not sure how much I would use it but it does exactly as Lexus says and brakes or powers each wheel as required no mater what. Never had to touch the brake on even the steepest decline I could find.

A few of the 4WD "Deer Hunter" types were even impressed at the control and constant speed. Turn the ignition off and it drops from the higher 4WD height to being able to exit the driver seat by putting your foot on the ground with ease. All in less than a couple of seconds.

Yes I am still very happy.

Ooo...coming from "old-school" off-roading, that crawl control would be eerily cool. Good to hear that it works as advertised. I think that it's a good advancement in ATRAC.

I am not sure if the height coming down with ignition off is good. What if you are on top of a boulder or uneven terrain and you want to get out and take pictures?? Will the LX lower itself onto a sharp rock??

Hehehe,

Not. You would simply hit the button on the console to disable the height control before you hit the keyless start/stop button.

It does not fall to the ground but it does both lower and raise MUCH faster than my 470

Yes, I think I do have the night-view and the pre-collision system as well. I also have the Bubinga wood trim - I love it !

My parents test drove this beast along with the GX a couple of weeks ago...I actually really liked the car, it was Super comfortable..the seats dont even compare to the GX, and the ride was silky smooth, GX was smooth too.. My parents couldnt justify paying 90K for it, and are now waiting for the new generation GX to come out to see...

congrats on the ride..it is silky smooth and super comfy.. i dont even like SUVs..but if I had to get one..it would be this! enjoy
