Wow, that looks horrible! The next gen LC/LX570 have lost all of their masculinity. I'm sure it will be beautiful on the inside and the power and shifting will be smooth as silk.
i see the landcruiser being canned eventually. someone said they wouldnt get rid of it due to the name and history behind it......see what they did to the celica and guess again

Toyota established itself off the LandCruiser all over the world. Then the Corolla came along. So I can bet you 5 bux both of these names will be around for a very very long time.

LC200 will look like LX570, with different front grille and lights.
Land Cruiser is the most sucessfully selling upscale SUV in the world, in all of its variations it sells better than anything else.
It wouldn't surprise me if Toyota doesn't sell the new LC in North America. Why would they, when they sell the LX570 for only $10K more? The '06-07 LC has AHC like the LX. By the time to add on all the "mandatory" options like side air bags, DVD, etc., the LC sells for $60K, and Toyota dealers aren't willing to deal. OTOH, Lexus dealers have sold the LX as low as $60K. For the few grand more, you get more luxury/features like memory seats, Mark Levinson audio, etc. No wonder the LX470 outsells the LC two to one. In Canada, Toyota stopped selling the LC back in '97, forcing everyone who wants a LC to buy the LX. I can see this happening in the USA, too. Landcruiser doesn't have the name recognition here like it does elsewhere in the world, were people's lives and livelihoods often depend on its reliability; people mainly know if it as yet another high-end luxury SUV, and don't stress the vehicle enough to it's intended design/lifespan.
This looks more like a new model to me. Anyway if I can recall hearing at the CAS earlier this year when they introduced the Highlander the mentioned that the new Sequoia and LC would debut at next year's autoshow.
tell u the truth, i like the white one a lot specially with the tint and the lil extra bumper on the front. if i could to anything though, it would be get ridof the turn signals on the headlights and put them on the bumpers instead like the current lx and lc. that way the headlights won stick out like that
