The radio/navigation unit in my 2021 LX570 started to "hang up" intermittently. In other words, the screen would freeze and one could not access functions using the console control (i.e. cursor would not move). Lexus agreed to replace the radio/nav unit.

I picked the truck up from the dealer yesterday and, within the Sirius XM webpage, switched Sirius XM service to the replacement radio/nav using the radio ID for the replacement radio. Switching Sirius service to the replacement radio went smoothly; however, within the Sirius database, my LX570 now is identified as a 2020 model rather than a 2021.

The mismatch between the actual model year of my LX and the year identified with the replacement radio/nav ID would seem to suggest that the replacement radio/nav is either a remanufactured unit or a unit that is older than the unit installed in my LX originally.

I haven't discussed with my dealer yet - should I be concerned that the radio/nav may be a remanufactured unit or one that's a year older than the unit that was replaced?
