2013 LX470 AC Question
Hi trying to figure out why my AC doesn’t come on automatically when I start the car. Before it would come on when started but now you have to wait a while before it kicks on and also you have to adjust the temp for it goes to 75 degrees off the rip. Does anyone know how to get this back to starting automatically when I start the car? Thanks in advance
Did you recently change the cabin air filter? If so did you make sure that the airflow control was set to recirculate and hopefully not force the door that covers the cabin air filter open?
If the above isn’t true check the cabin air filter to make sure there’s not excessive debris that is blocking the airflow.
Make sure to read the detailed instructions in the owner’s manual on how to open the cabin air filter door and change the filter.
Ive owned 4 LXs over the last 24 years and made both mistakes above which cause the ACC system to reset each time you start the car.
The first mistake was corrected (in my 2009 LX)by a Lexus tech hooking the car up to a computer and attempting to reset the door (about 25 times!) and it finally worked.
The second was corrected ( in my 2018 LX) by simply changing the filter which was severely blocked by debris.
In both cases the system reset itself.
Hope this helps!

you are awesome I will try this out and let you know. Btw does the arrow for air flow point up or down? Thanks again

Usually for the past decades I've been driving, I always (99% I would say) turn off the a/c before I switch off the vehicle....and would manually turn it on after vehicle's started (same applies to say the cool/heated seat / fridge / radio etc). But if you leave the a/c on before turning off the vehicle, it would and should be on the next time you switch the vehicle on. Did you mean the a/c would not come on automatically upon starting the vehicle? Or you also experience 'delay' on the a/c not 'blowing' strong enough upon starting? The a/c blower setting I think would adjust it self back to 'low' upon starting and should adjust itself after a few seconds (depends on the temperature condition - say if cabin temp is so hot during summer and your desired cool temp is 'lo' or so, the a/c blower motor would crack to high in very short time upon initial start, I would say probably w/in 5 seconds. There's an 'auto' button to set the a/c, if that isn't 'on' the blower motor should be automatically adjust it's speed. maybe chk if you 'auto' is 'on'?

What at @peasept described is exactly right. The sensors and precheck system are very sensitive. If you don’t do this exactly right it triggers this startup error. I believe it’s an up arrow. However, is should only go in one direction because you will see clips on the filter frame that clip downward into the housing. Also, once you get it in, I put very light pressure on the top with my hand slightly jiggling it to make sure it seated and clipped. If it requires a new filter, I would buy this from Lexus just to get the best part.

SOLVED!!!!
I had the same issue and was able to solve it I wanted to post what I did to fix it for future users and not to create a new thread
I watched this video
Hooked up techstream and tested the 4 servos couldn't tell how they were supposed to function. They all didn't go through the full 1-225 or whatever testing. Some were in the 5-150 range while others were in the 0-125
I decided to hook up techstream and test behaviors of my other LS460 climate control to compare (yes have 2 identical LS's I love pain and spending money on repairs) I noticed that after you tested servos on techstream once you exited test screen for each servo the servo would physically go back by itself to a default beginning or whatever. I only know this cause I felt the servo spin with my finger
I rehooked up Techstream to the car with the 75 stuck 30 seconds for ac to start and noticed that the servo A/M Servo Pulse F&R D when screen was exited didn't return back or even spin at all when I exited testing screen
I ordered a used one through a recycler Lexus buddy took me a wiring clip and two screws and it works now. AC starts up right away no waiting.
If you have any questions or this is incoherent let me know if you need more explanation.
