I have an 2013 LX and i’m having issues with auto wipers not working. If I set the wipers to auto, they never turn on. Any ideas as to what might be the issue?
have u tried (with the auto wipe 'on') spray water onto the sensor (where the rear view mirror is - from the outside)? if that doesn't work, likely will either be the sensor or the switch stalk, but need proper diagnosis before chanring any part(s).
Yeah, troubleshot this quite a bit. Autosense doesn’t work at all. Basically I don’t have any intermittent wiper capability because of it. Haven’t unplugged the sensor yet. Not sure where it is. I saw in another thread for a different model of Lexus that they were able to at least get intermittent wiper capability back by unplugging the sensor.
Your gel pad has lost its adhesion. If you unplug it like hankind said, variable wipers will still work. If you want auto you will need to replace the gel pad.
